About Us
“We Pride Ourselves In Providing Excellent Patient Care With Integrity and Compassion.”
Welcome to Stand Tall Podiatry
Your feet support you through every step of life, yet they’re often overlooked until pain or injury gets in the way. At Stand Tall Podiatry, we’re here to help you move comfortably, stay active, and keep doing the things you love.
We provide personalised podiatry care for patients of all ages, from children through to older adults. Whether you’re dealing with heel pain, sports injuries, ingrown toenails, diabetes-related foot concerns, or simply need routine foot care, our goal is to deliver effective, evidence-based treatment in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Our senior podiatrist and director, Dr Lawrence Prasad, is passionate about helping patients achieve long-term results. In addition to treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, he has been involved in mentoring podiatry students and has undertaken further training in high-risk diabetic foot care at Geelong Hospital.
Lawrence has a particular interest in biomechanics, musculoskeletal injuries, custom orthotics, shockwave therapy, and helping people return to an active, pain-free lifestyle. He works closely with local GPs and other allied health professionals, including physiotherapists and chiropractors, to ensure patients receive comprehensive, collaborative care.
At Stand Tall Podiatry, we believe great healthcare starts with listening. We take the time to understand your concerns, explain your treatment options, and create a personalised plan that helps you stay on your feet with confidence.
MEET OUR TEAM
Many people don’t think about the health of their feet very often. However, as soon as you injure your feet in any way, you start to realise just how much you need them to be in good health. Whether you’re walking or just standing, your feet are the foundation of your body and are incredibly important for being able to move around with ease.
At Stand Tall Podiatry, we specialise in foot health and treat all ages and conditions. We have made the foot care for every member of the family our priority.
Our senior podiatrist, Lawrence Prasad, has been actively involved in mentoring podiatry students, volunteering, and researching in the field of podiatric medicine. This has equipped him with substantial knowledge of podiatry.
He works alongside general practitioners and allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors and dietitians, providing a holistic approach in managing a patient’s health within a multidisciplinary clinic.
Lawrence has also completed additional training as a high-risk podiatrist in Geelong Hospital, treating many diabetic patients.
“Lawrence’s main interests have always been in the field of Biomechanics, Musculoskeletal functions, Laser therapy, and Shockwave therapy for Heel Pain.”
Kaan Alanko is a dedicated and compassionate podiatrist committed to helping people move comfortably, recover from pain, and stay active. He has a strong clinical interest in lower limb biomechanics, sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, and evidence-based rehabilitation, with experience treating patients across all areas of podiatry.
Graduating from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Podiatric Medicine, Kaan has worked in both private practice and multidisciplinary healthcare settings. This experience has allowed him to develop a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and managing a wide range of foot, ankle, and lower limb conditions.
Kaan believes that successful treatment starts with understanding the underlying cause of a patient’s symptoms—not simply treating the pain. He takes the time to perform thorough assessments, explain diagnoses in clear, easy-to-understand language, and develop personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual’s lifestyle, goals, and long-term wellbeing.
Whether he’s helping an athlete return to sport, reducing chronic heel pain, prescribing custom orthotics, or providing routine foot care, Kaan is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care that achieves lasting results. His friendly nature, attention to detail, and commitment to clinical excellence ensure every patient feels listened to, supported, and confident in their treatment.
When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Kaan keeping active, spending time with family and friends, or planning his next adventure.

I am passionate about creating positive experiences for people, whether in healthcare or through community service. As the Practice Manager at Stand Tall Podiatry, I am committed to ensuring every patient feels welcomed, respected, and supported from the moment they walk through our doors. I believe that exceptional healthcare is not only about clinical excellence but also about compassion, trust, and building meaningful relationships.
Alongside my role at Stand Tall Podiatry, I have dedicated more than a decade to serving the community as the President of the Inclusive Support Women’s Association (ISWA). Through this work, I have had the privilege of leading initiatives that empower women, support young people, promote mental health and wellbeing, strengthen social inclusion, and improve access to opportunities for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
These experiences have shaped who I am both personally and professionally. They have reinforced my belief that genuine care begins with listening, understanding individual needs, and creating environments where people feel valued and empowered. Whether I am supporting patients at the practice or working alongside volunteers and community members, my goal remains the same—to make a positive difference in people’s lives through kindness, collaboration, and service.
I feel incredibly fortunate to combine my passion for healthcare with my commitment to community, and I strive to bring empathy, professionalism, and dedication to everything I do.
